Helping knowledge keepers share their voice.
When programs are designed for everybody they do not work for Indigenous people. When programs are designed with the values of Indigenous people, they work for everybody.
Ways of Knowing is a facilitation and leadership training that is designed by Indigenous People for Indigenous People. This is a decolonized train the trainer that will empower you to be your whole self while facilitating others.
Let’s come together for a training that is about:
Decolonization.
We believe in a decolonized approach to facilitation. That means recognizng Indigenous wisdom, connecting to ourselves, our land and our communities.
This program is open to a wide variety of trainers and people. It is a collaborative approach to training and facilitation where we recognize the knowledge in the room comes from all of us.
Experiential Learning.
We learn best through experience. Therefore, this program and your training will focus on experience, reflection, analysis and discussions.
This program is designed for you to add the principles of experiential learning to your facilitation toolbox.
Community.
Being a knowledge keeper, sharing with those around us, and lifting voices are crucial elements to being a community member and to fostering cultural connections.
In this program we will be coming together to build community. You will not be alone on this journey towards facilitation.
